Veterans Affairs Food Drive supporting Food4Veterans Program (Nov 16 - Dec 10)

The San Diego area U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) team of nutritionists and social workers come together throughout the year to support veterans through a VA Food Empowerment Program (FEP). Partnering with Us4Warriors, the VA FEP provides specially selected groceries for patients identified with food insecurity. Each month, Us4Warriors delivers Food4Veterans sacks of groceries from a dietary menu and special Care4Warriors snack boxes that are provided to Veterans by the VA FEP through this service. From November 16th to December 10th, the local VA Medical Center in LaJolla, California with have four food storage containers placed inside the hospital grounds area for the employees and staff to have an opportunity to donate non-perishable items. All food items will be going to support veterans in need of emergency food in the San Diego County area. Us4Warriors has had a steady history working in partnership with this team since 2017 to address the needs of veterans, including homeless and those diagnosed with severe injuries and conditions. If you visit the VA Medical Center in LaJolla during the food drive, please feel free to contribute.
