The holiday season can be a joyful time, but for many military and veteran families, it brings unique challenges. To help, Us4Warriors hosted its annual Feast4Warriors Project, an initiative designed to bring food, gifts, and festive cheer to those who need it most. The project focuses on supporting families with large households, low incomes, disadvantaged elderly members, or children with special needs.
During the first two weeks of December 2024, the Us4Warriors team provided groceries, holiday foods and snacks, turkeys, hams, and gifts to 20 military and veteran families in the San Diego area. Many of these families are navigating the high cost of living in the region while caring for large households.
The effort was made possible by generous contributions from Walmart Stores (#5938/Imperial Beach, #4169/El Cajon & #2253/El Cajon), Pride Industries San Diego ERG Chapter, Food4Less (Palomar in Chula Vista), the Anthony Stewart Family, the Ken Greenawald & Denise Cricksman Family, Sanjeeta Thomas, Pamela Allison, and Valerie Phillips. The event was organized by Chula Vista Veteran of the Year Danny Shaffstall, Us4Warriors Operations Manager.

While Feast4Warriors has concluded for this year, the Food4Warriors program continues to provide essential groceries to military and veteran families during temporary moments of need. This program is available year-round to ensure no one has to go without food in times of crisis. Learn more at www.Food4Warriors.org.
