Bringing Navy Chiefs to the Veterans Home

On October 1st, Us4Warriors sponsored 2022 Chief Petty Officer Selectees with a Community Service project at California Veterans Home of Chula Vista. Through our Warrior Volunteer Force and a partnership with the Veterans Home, we gathered Chief Selectees and their CPO Sponsors from the Mariner Skills Training Center, Pacific (Surface Warfare Schools Command) to take part in a project consisting of the assembly of two gazebos to provide more shade for Veterans Home residents.

We Congratulate these and all Chief Selectees in reaching this amazing milestone and appreciate their dedication to the tradition of community service by joining forces with Us4Warriors for good deeds helping others.

Navy Chiefs serve a dual role as both technical experts and as leaders, with an increasing emphasis on leadership as they progress through the CPO paygrades of E-7 to E-9. The Chief Petty Officer, as recognized today, was officially established 1 April 1893. In the Navy, one of the proudest days in an enlisted individual's naval service is the date on which they don the uniform and is accepted into the CPO Community.

Each year, Us4Warriors coordinates many community service projects throughout San Diego County through service of our Warrior Volunteer Force. Officers and Enlisted from all branches join with Veterans and Community Supporters to help us uplift the community with these projects.
