Elks Lodge Partners with Us4Warriors to help homeless warriors and their families

Us4Warriors is proud of collaborative connections in the community. The Benevolent Order of the Elks has been a longstanding partner in the community. Recently, Elks Lodge 2011 in Chula Vista, California surged forward in alliance with Us4Warriors to continue that partnership in support our Food4Warriors Program. Led by Lodge Exalted Ruler Dan Rice, Elks Lodge 2011 contributed financially and provided volunteers to join in with the Warrior Volunteer Force in support of this year's annual North County Veterans Standdown (NCVSD) event. The standdown event, hosted by NCVSD, assisted hundreds of homeless veterans with food, basic needs and a path to shelter, employment and healing. Thanks to the generous contributions of funding and dedicate volunteer support, Elks Lodge 2011 ensured that Us4Warriors was able to feed over 250 veterans and provide one-on-one employment counseling for those in need. Rice, a Marine Corps Veteran, reminded that the Elks has a longstanding history of supporting Veterans. "We all work hard to support the the Elks pledge regarding our Veterans." Rice shared, "So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them." Learn more about Elks Lodge 2011 here.
