On Friday, November 8th, in partnership with Feeding San Diego and the San Diego VA Regional Health Care, Us for Warriors Foundation (Us4Warriors) organized a successful food distribution event at the Kearny Mesa VA Clinic on Aero Drive in San Diego, CA. The event took place in the clinic’s parking lot and served as a crucial support mission for 416 military members, veterans, and their families who received much-needed groceries and essential food supplies.

VA Clinics, under the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, offer comprehensive outpatient care. The Kearny Mesa VA Clinic serves as one of San Diego’s vital healthcare centers for our veterans, and Us4Warriors was honored to be part of this impactful day. Feeding San Diego, one of Us4Warriors' dedicated partners, supplied nutritious food, further bolstering our collective effort to help our community thrive.

This event was further supported by the incredible work of the San Diego VA Regional Health Care’s "Food Empowerment Team," whose recent food drive contributed 30 bags of groceries to the distribution. This initiative, alongside our event, highlights the dedication of the VA and its teams in supporting those who have served.

An event of this scale requires many hands, and more than 30 volunteers from various backgrounds and organizations came together to make it a success. Among the team of helpers were six VA interns and five students from Southwestern College, showcasing the support of local educational institutions in backing our veterans. Aston Carter, a recruitment agency based in Poway, CA, contributed significantly with a team of 15 volunteers, demonstrating the strength of community partnerships and the positive impact of corporate volunteerism.

Us4Warriors extends heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers and partners who made this food distribution possible. The event not only highlights the ongoing need for food assistance among military families and veterans but also exemplifies what can be achieved through collaboration, community spirit, and a shared commitment to service.

Through partnerships like those with the VA, Feeding San Diego, Southwestern College, and Aston Carter, Us4Warriors is able to continue its mission of supporting our nation’s heroes. Together, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of our military and veteran community, one act of service at a time.

Thank you to all who contributed to this successful day. We look forward to many more opportunities to serve our community, uplift those in need, and empower the individuals who have given so much in service to our country.
